DIGS is pleased to post information regarding girls summer volleyball camps
in New Jersey, the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions, and the United States. We will be continuously updating this camp
page for Summer 2010 volleyball camps. If you wish to have
your camp added to this page or if you see errors, please
contact us.
Note that there are literally hundreds of good camps out there. We
focus on those that are closer to home or that have asked to be listed on our
site. However, several links below provide access to other aggregators of
camp listings, so this page is a fairly good starting point to explore camps
nation-wide.
The programs below are promoting camps via website information for summer
2010
(DIGS update as of May 27, 2010):
- GEVA sponsors an excellent
High
Performance Volleyball Program as part of the national USA
Volleyball High Performance system. This is truly an elite group of
players from our region. Some of DIGS's top players have participated
and benefited greatly. Multiple age groups are selected, who train in
New Jersey or downstate New York, then compete at a national event.
Tryouts are Saturday, May 8 and Sunday, May 16, 2010 - both dates have
multiple locations.
-
USSC Sports Camps - Volleyball
- An insanely large network of camps (for volleyball and other sports).
For volleyball, camps run under the brands of Nike, NBC, and McCracken
Camps. As far as we know, this is the largest consolidated listing of
volleyball summer camps available across the United States. It appears
that many of the programs are generally locally run (e.g., by a college or
university) and that this network is a marketing resource. A great way
to visit a college of interest, too, while playing volleyball.
- The
Great Lakes Center.
We're talking
Illinois, here, as well as Texas, Ohio, Michigan, Oregon (the list just
keeps growing). It offers a plethora of general skills and specialized camps
and draws participants from across the country. The program is
considered top-notch and their setting camps are consider among the best in
the country! Many dates listed.
-

Other:
You may also want to explore a commercial
website for girls and college female volleyball players, entitled
Volleyball Voices. We we cannot vouch for this site;
however, this particular web page lists a tremendous number of Division 1
College volleyball camps for summer 2010. Note that the webpage sometimes
runs poorly in IE8, so you may have to copy the URL and paste it into another
browser, such as Chrome.
Also,
Seton Hall Summer Camps. Ran
a volleyball camp in 2008 and 2009. However, the 2010 list of camps for
all sports has not yet announced a 2010 volleyball camp.
