DIGS is pleased to announce that we will expand our instructional programs to offer a boys' volleyball clinic program with the goal to field one or more boys' teams for the 2011 club team season.
Positioned for
players ages 8 - 14, the clinic is designed for beginners and experienced
younger players who are seeking a strong volleyball fundamentals program that is
fun and tailored to their needs. This allows boys who are new to the game,
as well as those with some experience, exposure to club-like volleyball training
in a more casual environment.
This
winter program will run on Sunday evenings from 3:00 - 5:00 PM for seven
sessions, beginning Sunday, January 10, 2010 (last
day is Sunday, February 21). It will be held at DIGS's training
facility: Wyckoff Family YMCA in
Interested families should contact the club at
Boysvolleyball@DIGSVolleyball.com to
hold a spot or to obtain more information. Please provide the player's
name, age, home town, T-shirt size, jacket size, and level of ability.
Walk-in "new joiners" will
be allowed also on Sunday, January 17.
The clinic will
begin promptly at 3:00 PM (arrive at 2:45 the first day). Parents will
receive a short orientation on the program while the boys participate in
training. During the parent meeting, DIGS's board members will discuss the
program and answer questions. A full payment of $200 is required on the
first day of attendance. This program fee covers all training, and
includes a cool DIGS Club jacket and T-shirt.
Players should
wear tennis or volleyball shoes, knee pads, gym shorts and a T-shirt, and bring
water.
Attached is the
program brochure, for those who wish to download, print or forward
information to friends and family.
